Thursday, July 8

Tickets are on sale now for an after hours enchanted evening filled with costumes, music, dancing and fun at Fairytale Town. The event features costume contests, fire throwers, a dancefloor, DJ, henna artist and more! The event will kick off with a live performance by Fairytale Town's favorite belly dancers, UNMATA at 7:20PM, then enjoy a live performance by local punk/rock band The Enlows, followed by  Extreme Productions DJ & Owner, Matt Brys, mixing and spinning the night away!

Costumes are required. This is a special ticketed event, ticket holders must be at least 18 years of age or older. Food & adult beverage will be available for purchase. Presale tickets are $10, tickets on the day of the event are $15.  For more information click here.

VSA of California hosts their annual funshop filled festival at Fairytale Town. Visit Pooh corner and participate in a wide variety of hands on art activities and stop by the Children's Theater to catch a special performance from the VSA Daycamp.

Bring your sleeping bags & tents to Fairytale Town for a memorable night at Humpty's house! This fun filled sleepover includes a special theater performance, arts & crafts, a scavenger hunt adventure, bedtime stories and a sing-a-long. This is a special ticketed event, prices range from $20 - $30, fees include all activities, an evening snack and a light breakfast. The Fairytale Town Troupers return for their second production of the season with a tale of Ancient China & India, featuring a mythological martial arts super hero as he journeys to a magical land of music, dance & danger! Performances will be held on the Mother Goose Stage and are free with paid park admission. (Subject to change)

Sacramento's favorite band, Mumbo Gumbo, returns for an encore performance at Fairytale Town. Mumbo Gumbo will be celebrating a special occasion with all of us, 2010 marks the band's 20th anniversary! Food and beverage available for purchase.  This is a special ticketed event, tickets are $10 for adults, Fairytale Town members and Capital Public Radio members receive a 2 for 1 discount, and children 12 and under are free! All proceeds benefit nonprofit Fairytale Town.

Concert Policy:  No outside food or beverages, chairs, or cameras allowed.

Celebrate the 32nd anniversary of national Grandparents Day at Fairytale Town! Grandparents who visit Fairytale Town on this day accompanied by a grandchild, ages 12 and under, receive free admission to Fairytale Town! Bring the whole family for a day of play and fun, plus enjoy special performances on the Mother Goose stage from the Northern California Vocal Artists Association performing classic standards. These peformances are free with paid park admission. This event is made possible in part by support from ScholarShare College Savings Plan.

Fairytale Town celebrates literacy with this two day festival, thanks to generous support from ScholarShare College Savings Plan, guests receive free admission both days! Activities include author and illustrator presentations on the Mother Goose Stage, a wide array of hands on literacy activities provided by several local arts organizations, one of the most popular weekends of the year. Puppet Art Theater will be performing in the Children's Theater. Tickets are $1 for members and $2 for nonmembers.

The ScholarShare Book Festival is sponsored by ScholarShare College Savings Plan, Wells Fargo, KVIE, Mix96, The Sacramento Bee, Time Tested Books and IKEA.

Invite colleagues, family and friends to join one of the best charity golf events of the year held at Empire Ranch Golf Club in Folsom. This golf tournament features a scramble format and Hole-In-One, Longest Drive, and Closest to Pin contests. After golfing, celebrate at the awards reception and dinner in the clubhouse. One hundred percent of the funds raised by the event are used to maintain and support Fairytale Town and its programs.

Families with children five years of age and under receive free admission to Fairytale Town at this annual event hosted by First 5 of Sacramento.

Three nights of Halloween fun at Fairytale Town features 17 candy stations and your favorite classic monsters. Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyl, witches and werewolves fill the park along with puppet shows, hands on activities and much more! Puppet Art Theater will be performing in the Children's Theater, tickets are $1 for members and $2 for nonmembers. This is a special ticketed event.

Friday, November 26

Fairytale Town offers free admission to families who bring in a canned good the day after Thanksgiving as a chance to say thanks for visiting throughout the year. All canned goods will be donated to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, Holiday Spirit of Giving Food Drive. Activities during the event include an arts & craft activity and puppet shows by Puppet Art Theater in the Children’s Theater. Puppet show tickets are $1 for members and $2 for nonmembers.

Friday & Saturday, December 3 & 4
5PM - 8PM  

Holiday lights radiate from Fairytale Town for this special two night event. Visit with Father Christmas, holiday vendors, participate in hands on activities and listen to live holiday entertainment while enjoying the festive decor and holiday atmosphere throughout the park. The event also features a gift wrapping station and pictures with Father Christmas, available for an additional cost. This is a special ticketed event.
