Charlotte is a Goliath Bird-eating Trantula. She lives behind the glass display in Farmer Brown's Barn. She is approximately 6-inches now, and she is just a baby!

This event is presented by the Sacramento Association of Museums (SAM), and proudly supported by Umpqua Bank. Museum Day, a Sacramento cultural tradition, invites all members of the community to experience the Capital City’s incredible wealth of art, history, science and wildlife at numerous participating museums AT NO COST.

Enjoy a day filled with educational displays focusing on the environment, displays will vary in areas such as responsible conservation, pollution and tips on how to go green. Visit with several Sacramento area organizations and learn about different ways you can go green and help create a healthy environment. Puppet Art Theater will be performing The Three Little Pigs with a green twist in the Children's Theater. Puppet show tickets are $1 for members $2 for nonmembers, showtimes are 12:30PM, 1:30PM & 2:30PM.

Join us for a weekend filled with egg hunts, prizes, spring arts & crafts, pictures with Peter Cottontail (additional cost) and puppet shows! Daily egg hunts will be held at 12PM, 1PM & 2PM promptly, hunt areas are separated by age group as follows, 0 - 3yrs, 4 - 6yrs & 7 - 12 yrs. Puppet Art Theater will be performing  Bunny Boot Camp in the Children's Theater at 12:30PM, 1:30PM & 2:30PM. Puppet show tickets are $1 for members and $2 for nonmembers.

The third annual Farms, Friends & Fairytales event promises to bring another exciting day filled with everything agriculture! Arrive early to watch the twin Babydoll sheep, Lucy & Ethel, get sheared, then watch as a wool spinner spins the wool into thread using an old fashioned spinning wheel! Enjoy agriculture focused hands on activities, a mini-farmer's market and visit with Sacramento area farms and agricultural organizations to learn more about California's rich agricultural history and how you can get involved.

This fun filled sleepover includes a special theater performance, arts & crafts, a scavenger hunt adventure, bedtime stories and a sing-a-long. Fairytale Town celebrates literacy with this two day festival, thanks to generous support from ScholarShare, guests receive free admission both days! Activities include author and illustrator presentations on the Mother Goose Stage, a wide array of hands on literacy activities provided by several local arts organizations, one of the most popular weekends of the year. Puppet Art Theater will be performing in the Children's Theater. Tickets are $1 for members and $2 for nonmembers.

Invite colleagues, family and friends to join one of the best charity golf events of the year held at Empire Ranch Golf Club in Folsom. This golf tournament features a scramble format and Hole-In-One, Longest Drive, and Closest to Pin contests. After golfing, celebrate at the awards reception and dinner in the clubhouse. One hundred percent of the funds raised by the event are used to maintain and support Fairytale Town and its programs.

Fairytale Town offers free admission to families who bring in a canned good the day after Thanksgiving as a chance to say thanks for visiting throughout the year. All canned goods will be donated to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, Holiday Spirit of Giving Food Drive. Activities during the event include an arts & craft activity and puppet shows by Puppet Art Theater in the Children’s Theater. Puppet show tickets are $1 for members and $2 for nonmembers.

Holiday lights radiate from Fairytale Town for this special two night event. Visit with Father Christmas, holiday vendors, participate in hands on activities and listen to live holiday entertainment while enjoying the festive decor and holiday atmosphere throughout the park. The event also features a gift wrapping station and pictures with Father Christmas, available for an additional cost. This is a special ticketed event.
